15 minute, looped sound design/soundscape

10 channel sound installation by Victoria Pham

 

One afternoon, Pham takes an hour long field recording of a broiling thunderstorm in the Royal Botanic Gardens of Sydney. From this single recording spans the alien and uncanny sound world of 'METAMORPHOSIS' which transforms the seemingly earthly environmental sounds of Sydney Harbour into a sonically alien soundscape.

This work was commissioned by Maitland Regional Art Gallery, and exhibited in their 2018 SONANT BODIES exhibition.
